But isn't the question whether a professor looking to lateral might think a Supreme Court clerkship would be helpful? And as a Georgetown alum, if someone interesting in lateraling there asked me if I thought if a S.Ct. clerkship would be a good credential to add, I'd be inclined to say "yes."

This week, California filed an important suit against a hospital for refusing emergency abortion care. But that hospital is part of a large Catholic chain and is likely to raise religion in defense. This defense would have been laughable even a decade ago. But healthcare refusal has been legitimized
