I know from my own MidEast family history the repercussions global conflicts can have on local biographies. The image is from the 1880s and shows my step-greatgrandmother Fanny as pupil in the Anglican orphanage for Jewish girls in Constantinople.

Leider hat es damals nicht zwischen Schröder und Chirac gefunkt. Das es Paarungen wie Schmidt Giscard und Kohl Mitterand nicht mehr gibt ist ein Problem. Olaf und Macron sind leider auch kein Match.
