I know from my own MidEast family history the repercussions global conflicts can have on local biographies. The image is from the 1880s and shows my step-greatgrandmother Fanny as pupil in the Anglican orphanage for Jewish girls in Constantinople.

Moses Hess stand den Annekes und Andreas Gottschalk nahe. Es ist eine Schande dass diese vier Ur Sozialdemokraten in der SPD weitgehend unbekannt sind und das 1848 in der Partei dieses Jahr nicht stattgefunden hat. Heinemann dreht sich im Grabe um.
