The funniest joke in Saturday Night is that its loser stink is so strong the actual SNL wants nothing to do with it, and did not have a cast member from the movie host the show to promote it.

It's not even a Universal Pictures release like Man on the Moon was, and SNL did tie into it with the '99 Christmas episode! In fact they were busy promoting Wicked Part One last night with Ariana Grande's host gig (helps that Bowen Yang, one of the current cast members, is also in the film).
