That exactly how I teach it in introductory analysis: assume the existence of the natural numbers, satisfying the Peano axioms. Then build integers, rationals and reals one after another, each as appropriate equivalence classes.

Of course I meant neuter singular. One says “in die VAE”, where Emirate is the plural of “das Emirat”. And as someone else pointed out, there is one neuter singular exception: “ins VK”.
Country names that are neuter are used without an article (“das”) – don’t ask me why. Germans don’t like to use prepositions like “in” without an article on the object noun – because then you have no marker showing whether it is accusative or dative. So they use a different preposition (“nach”).

It's also a problem of them not realizing that inflation is a derivative of prices. Lower inflation means prices are still rising. And the big price increases from a year ago are still there.
