😂 Guess you should take that important job on yourself
Last-minute cancelling an event that has taken MONTHS of planning because of illness and a sick kid SUCKS. THANK YOU to those who respond "I am actually in an odd way refreshed to see that once in a while we recognize we’re human and can support one another by NOT doing something we planned to do."

One of my least favorite author responses to a journal review: Me: You should run this statistical test Them: We did it and it looks good! But we didn't include anything because of word count (they don't share any stats) Show me some actual hard numbers in the letter or online supplement!
Has anyone else received reviews (as editor or author) they suspect to be LLM written? Are there proven ways to check?
I’m a fan of trying to quantify how often reviewers & editors check authors’ preregistrations (eg, by @syeducation.bsky.social), but also we should not forget that reviewers fail to check for deviations from a priori plans in 100% of unpreregistered studies. Because they can’t.
