Texas election judge here! DO NOT TAKE PHOTOS WITHIN THE POLLING PLACE. Nobody knows who you’re voting for. Confrontation is not on you! Get inside and tell the judge you were impeded. We have broad authority, a list of phone numbers, police support, and a very dim view of election interference.
Slight addendum to Joe (Hi, Joe! Your people are coming to my library in less than a month!): In Texas, there will be a sign. Before that point, you can have your phone out. Once you reach that sign, you put your phone away.

After you leave the site you can call your local election board and your state’s Secretary of State (usually the highest election officer) if you want. But the judge needs to know what’s going on, and will have resources to put a stop to any real problem.
