Apparently Elon is experimenting with a pay-to-tweet model again, so: hi new people! If you're looking for your Twitter folks, please try: - skeet.labnotes.org - fast if shaky way to locate your old friends - the Sky Follower Bridge extension on Chrome - more effective but way more time-consuming
Instantly find and follow the same users from your Twitter follows on Bluesky.
Also note, if you do this, twitter will immediately make you authenticate yourself, in other words... Elon does not like this, (who cares) just an FYI that you get pulled over by the twitter police quickly. Once you authenticate yourself, it seems okay.
The InfoSec guy in me is just thinking “So you enter your password into an unknown site. Is that really a good idea?” I’d recommend changing password after doing this, especially as BlueSky hasn’t implemented MFA yet.
Agreed that Sky Follower Bridge was more effective, as I could never get the skeet [dot] labnotes [dot] org website to get through Twitter throttling for me. Try both suggestions and see what works for you. Thanks to Joe Katz for sharing this information earlier; that was very helpful to me.
I’d been hoping something like this would pop up. Thanks!
I used the bridge before but now that my Twitter is truly gone will these still work?
