Dear furry commissioners, on behalf of all of us who draw your OCs and favorite fuzzy crushes, thank you so very much for being more reliable about paying your invoices than most of the major publishing houses and media companies
I obviously don't speak for furry as a whole, but I love paying for my work, with tip. One of the great things about doing OCs through artists is that I have creative ideas in my head without the talent to draw them. Artists allow me to express those ideas in ways I would never be able to.
Don't make us threaten you with a tip too!
Thatโs kind of sad, but not exactly surprising
I'd really like the people who do amazing work, draw things that make me happy, to be able to take care of themselves and be around years from now~ Furry art is about the only place where I can make a positive vote with my wallet.
As a fuzzy commissioner who is moving into the realm of commissioning work for a commercial project, I hope to move the needle, if only a little, in the right direction!
This is why I am pay upfront, if I ever get a company client they wouldn't pull this crap
its because we 1: care about repeat business and dont consider you a disposable commodity 2: actually care about you (at least most of us do) 3: care about the end product and like I said probably want to be repeat customers 4: we arent the scum most business excutives are
It's a community who's primary focus is artistic expression. Furrys by and large enjoy and appreciate art, and will thus deliver adequate recompense for said art.
Furries are hands down the sweetest, most patient, and caring clients I've ever had. When I ended up in the hospital my furry clients MESSAGED ME asking if they could create a GoFundMe. I'm not even a furry artist, bro.
