All considered, corporate America has still not backed away from this.. and I think that is because most USA companies use Microsoft AD. There is no way that MS is going to send down an edict that 'it was wrong' AND regrettably most admins see Microsoft (not NIST, etc) as authoritative.

Not familiar with the specifics, but my understanding is insurance companies are pulling out of places (home insurance) where the risk is too high. Houses are not selling in Florida (some locations) and New Orleans. The reality of rising waters due to global warming = soon to be ghost towns?
