As our methods of communication have gone up, the less people seem to communicate. Have been trying to reach someone via different social websites and still no answer after half a month. Maddening. I do not think they are ignoring them, I think they have never seen any of my different messages. 🤬
Verdict = pure drivel. The inside of the White House was being defended by like 7-9 guys individually placed so that the heavily armed and well coordinated team could waltz through it like a hot knife in butter to find the cowardly president hiding behind the desk in the oval office. Pure Drivel.
I'm watching Civil War 2024. This is so very stupid on so many levels. 40 minutes in and I still do not know who is fighting who or why, save guerilla vs. uniformed. I'm complaining to my daughter while watching... which I guess is entertaining. Existential? Nope - dumb.
I do not know too much about R's politics all-in-all, my point was just that a lot of people agree the polarization was more connected to media changes and Newt. 😁
Reagan was 'there' but not the impetus.
The polarization began around 1979-80 when CSPAN and CNN were born before Reagan (81-89). Newt Gingrich used CSPANs then tightly cropped camera to give speeches as-if to packed house. Also, CNNs (new) business model was a 24/7 news spectacle which exacerbated the growing polarization for profit.
