What a fab lineup to be a part of. Looking forward to it very much!
Hopefully someone will put one together soon. If I get the time I will.
Between those two is Snaxs Cafe a proper locals lunch joint. Very well served in Edinburgh for pubs. Lots of places with live music in the evening for the solo traveller. A little ways down South Bridge and off side streets there are The Royal Oak and the Captain's Bar which are recommended.
Indeed!
Oh okay sorry misunderstood!
using the search icon on the top right of our site www.balh.org.uk. Would also be great to feature a question on this in our quarterly magazine to see if anyone has done something similar (get in touch!). I know VCH has a good guide of what they need for their publications which covers key themes...
Of course plentiful literature on doing local history generally but nothing comes to mind on a starter pack either general or place specific though it is a great idea. You might be able to find reference to something in BALH'S back publications...
Lovely area and you will know it so well I'm sure.
That's a fantastic achievement wow! Hats off.
That's a great take, very good to appreciate the humans behind it
