This is a very informal survey, but also kind of a pilot to see if such a categorization task is feasible in Qualtrics. I'm kinda pleased to see how remarkably clean the results are, despite reports of many mergers among these words. Perhaps people are influenced most by spelling?

Yeah I had a ā€œpublic-facingā€ one that only had published things, and a ā€œjob applicationā€ version with had papers under review or in progress.

Iā€™ve never considered a fifth group so thatā€™s kinda cool. This is suuuper low stakes though so imperfect methods arenā€™t a big deal for this.
