While I know that some presidents have had “successes” when it comes to Israel and the Palestinian state issue, but at this point what can the U.S. do? It’s going on 80 years of conflict. I’m not embedded in the foreign policy world, but do we hold Eisenhower responsible for the 1950s blowbacks?

I realize my point may be somewhat moot since Eisenhower was a two-term president. But I stand by it even though maybe I shouldn’t for that reason 🤪

'At this point what can the US do?' Sadly agree, John. Netanyahu ignores Biden's ceasefire requests; does not inform the US of its exploding pager plot; and so on. And on Palestinian peace, Clinton replied to Arafat: “I am a failure, and you have made me one.” (Clinton's own words in his memoir.)
