You're not wrong! It's super weird. It's kind of funny too, that it has a "What is a Short Story?" category at the start, and then proceeds to include things that are not short stories on their list of the best short stories of all-time (the collections and anthologies).

I can hear voices and music quite well. Since I like to do voices for my characters when playing D&D, I've often been frustrated that I could "speak" the voice I want to do in my head, but can't replicate it with my vocal chords for some reason.
