Correct. It’s a good thing the VP debates don’t matter because Walz hasn’t been doing that great and this could even give a slight gain to R’s. We know Walz can do better and if the Dems have any sense they will shit can everyone involved in prepping Tim

I’m really glad this doesn’t matter because if it did this would be a disaster for the Dems (not that I like them or will ever really say nice things about them, because genocide, but this could lead to the real fascists winning as opposed to the fascist lite party)

Yikes. That’s really sad

The message is loud and clear and it’s one that should terrify people

They will both get 1 minute. Walz will say something folksy & bateky address the question. Vance will go on a tirade about immigrants & the need for deportation. There will be no follow ups and ride or die Dems will cheer as they say their guy nailed it Meanwhile in Asheville and many other places…

For the Dems to lose against such an unpopular candidate with even more unpopular policies would be the ultimate illustration of what an out of touch, grifting political party they’ve become They really seem to have zero clue about how alienating they are and what low disregard many have of them in

Not to say it’s perfect. And if some big accounts move here permanently then I can see things drifting back to the status quo a bit. But at least there is half a chance for newer, more progressive, voices to gain traction (and why I probably wont follow 75% of the people I did on the other site)

One of the things I like about Bluesky is that it’s elevating much different voices than Twitter did (even in it’s so called “good” era). Im really seeing this in the housing/urbanist/transit space where a lot of old/tired voices and ideas are just falling flat instead of gaining traction by default
