Pride seems the wrong sort of feeling to have about a history which, barring the very recent past, you couldn’t have influenced. The ‘logic’ of the Right is oddly similar whether it’s on Labour tax policy or Hancockian lost civilisations - if you say we have no plans to/no evidence for, then you must be covering something up…
