Do ads actually work anymore? I can't be alone in assuming that any promoted product is either a con, shoddy and definitely over-priced. I tend to AVOID products I've seen an ad for.

i assume most advertised products i see are just dropshipped from aliexpress by this point and the amount of times ive been correct is. upsetting lol

My rule of thumb is, if you interrupt my music, my video and my doomscrolling with advertising, I will not buy your shit. Bam, you are blacklisted.

Can't say, I only really see ads on YouTube, and they are the cheap, awful kind of cheap and boring phone games, but I will admit there are times that I click on the game ads due boredom, try them, then shortly uninstall after I come to my senses with how bad they are

Excellent question. I've found myself actively avoiding things I've seen ads for.

The few adds I actully like are the small handful of little shops and buisness on Instagram. Even then if say about 90% of adds make me LESS inclined to get said item or service

Same. Ads are usually just painfully unfunny and obnoxious. I kind of wish Limu Emu and Doug would pass too close to a black hole and get spaghettified. Even if the product isn't garbage, the ad wasted my time, so I won't buy it.

It's like propaganda. If you're immune, you're not the intended target.

They work in the same way phone scams do. "a few idiots make up for the cost"
