Day 3 of #UncoolTwo50: it’s 10:50 and no one’s dancing. Outsourcing this one to Seth Bingo and Silent Girl via Gillen and McKelvie: ATOMIC - BLONDIE (1980)

Panel 3 The man says ‘Play the Blondie.’ Woman has protective goggles and gloves on. Panel 4: Man and woman lit brightly, as if by an atomic flash. Panel 5: Man looks on while woman holds up a record glowing with energy. Panel 6: Woman puts record on. Man says ‘don’t worry, we’ve done the right thing.’

Panel 3: Man and woman stand, hands held out straight in front. They chant ‘oooooooo!’ Panel 4: Man and woman, hands in the air reaching an atomic peak like Debbie Harry’s ‘oooooooooh’ in Atomic Panel 5: Man has hands high above his head, woman is leaping joyously. The song’s glorious payoff: ATOMIC! Panel 6: Man and woman high five.
