I posted an update regarding Mental Health and Horror in our Discord last week but I realize that not everyone can see that, so I'm sharing what I posted here on BlueSky. I will continue to do so from here on forward.
There are little hints and storylines throughout. My recommendation is to use the cheats in the menu and go full God mode through Control. Focus on the story, atmosphere, and experience, which I think is so damn cool.
Before AW 1 or 2? Definitely before 2 but certainly after 1. There's an AW-centered DLC with Control that is very fun and creepy. The way everything connects together is so cool.
#AlanWake2 is incredible. Built upon the familiar foundations of survival horror, the game treads new territory in brilliant and charming ways while expanding, through fascinating approaches, the universe started by AW and Control. It honestly feels like the next stage of video game evolution.
I’ve spent over a year writing an exhaustive guide to Malibu’s most iconic citizen. Barbie was one of the first loves of my life and it was an honor to write 9k+ words on her impact on culture. https://www.slashfilm.com/1341484/an-exhaustive-guide-to-barbie-lore/
Consider this a crash course in the fantastic, plastic life of Barbie, from controversies to crossovers and all the storytelling in between.

My stepdad's death has been difficult to process. Complicated relationships often are. But I've been missing him lately, which is confusing and painful on its own. I wrote this before he died and I needed to share it. https://medium.com/@ariel.fisher.08/sunbeams-on-a-cloudy-day-faf23f451c8a
I wrote this on April 24, 2023, two days before my stepdad Kerry Mac Con passed away.
