Thank you, I will definitely try to read it! It seems that "French Without Tears" (1939) and "English Without Tears" (1944) both are movies based on a screenplay by Rattigan (or at least partly by him, according to Wikipedia).

How funny! I didn't realize that there actually was a thing called English Without Tears and that Rattigan was part of it!
