Heading home from #AEFP2024. As best I can tell, I have not been excommunicated (yet) for suggesting scholars consider incorporating some theory into their work.

What's funny is, when I have theory, I rarely discuss it in this space because that's not what the audience is generally interested in

I believe you would need to convert first to be excommunicated...

Also, if you are interested in having people show up to your research presentation, you might want to use some form of AI (machine learning, NLP, etc.). Fortunately, one presenter in my session did that, so people showed up at 8:15 a.m.
