What saddens me about this is it might push Sony to play it safe. That means more of the same IPs we’ve played from the last decade with less new ones. Concord seemed fun. But I think the F2P factor of Apex, Overwatch, Valorant, may have some kind of effect.

Yeah, I think there are a lot of factors for why it bombed: the pricing, the aesthetic, the timing. It was behind the curve by at least a few years. There was just a consensus that it wasn't cool. Hopefully, they'll take the right lessons and not the wrong ones, but who knows?
