Short guide: you have to vote and you have to vote straight-ticket Dem. "But what about" sure go ahead, look up the Republican candidate for state legislature or state executive office. Guaranteed to be some weird fascist. However bad you might think the Dem is, their opponent is far, far worse.
With so much focus on the presidential election, keep in mind these down-ballot races can lead to big changes in your state when it comes to policies like abortion, health care and criminal justice.

(if you simply INSIST on it's unreasonable-ness without support, that seems weird, since I can simply INSIST on it's reasomable-ness, and it seems likely that neither of us here on this small social media platform are ourselves longshoremen or global shipping companies.
Is it just a question of what seems reasonable to you personally, or do people in the industry have to decide on what's reasonable for a given situation?
I think if you can construct a more specific argument here, other than "that seems unnecessary, and businesses shouldn't have to pay for unnecessary things" then this defeats my objection: that practically anything that businesses DO in fact pay for can be counted as "unnecessary" if you try.
If you say so! "the company should pay for unnecessary thing X" is a framework that sure *seems like* it accounts for anything from chairs to guaranteed hours, but maybe you can explain why it's different.
"Some people are so desparate for a permission structure that will normalize hate and bigotries that they personally hold, that they are unwilling to listen to anyone who talks to them about anything else." (this is my other possible explanation.)
I want an extension that takes all the reviews on steam, hides the ones about how the game is bad because it's woke, gay, or for girls, and recalculates the overall review score Better yet Steam could actually moderate its reviews and remove the bigoted bullshit but God forbid
All demands for any change in working conditions fall under the argument you're making, which is why it's a silly argument. (But it's okay, you don't have to commit to this argument!)
Etc etc etc
"that's ridiculous. Why should the office get new chairs? Chairs cost money, these people just wanna be a little more comfortable, its a drag on the business." "why the fuck should I subsidize Healthcare for employees, I give the money already, they can pay for it, it has nothing to do with me."
