I've snapped a few round home (Blue Mountains NSW) but never felt I quite captured their beautiful wings like you have- well done!
Found an amazing little spot 15 mins out of Rylstone. No signs in the car park (I guess to keep the morons away) but a distinct track to very well preserved rock art. This is Wiradjuri country.
Also lots I didnt bother taking photos of as I see them all the time around the blue mountains, including Wattlebirds Sulphur Crested Cockatoos, Rainbow Lorikeets, Galahs, Superb Fairwrens, Red Browed Finchs, Dusky Moorhens and Kurrawongs. And a Sacred Kingfisher which I never got in focus.
You'll have to trust me when I say these are snake-neck turtles, hanging out with their heads just out of the water
