Agree with you. Little evidence VP selections affect outcome. They help/hinder broader narrative eg Clinton/new/change/2 young candidates from south in 92. Palin in 08 fed into narrative of McCain as unpredictable/a bit unreliable. Walz helps Harris narrative I think if not specific vote winner
