In Finland it works like this (trust me, I have 4 kids). 1. You book your seats from the childrens playground carrieage (adults dont want to be there, so usually plenty of room) 2. Bring snacks. 3. Kids start playing with other kids. 5-6 hours later, disembark. Say bye to the others.
