Alan Moore's point was that comic book heroes are never really heroes & that the idea of such is not much different than dreaming of living in a world where fascists make everything okay His problem with the 2019 series is that it followed the path he was criticizing (much worse in the movie)

I very deeply disagree about that. If anything, the show makes the fascist connections between superheroes and the cops even MORE explicit, tying it directly to notions of power and making for a deep and powerful critique not just of policing, but of American TV's "copaganda" problem.

That said, objectively, it is an amazing series...but, also, I see why it would piss Alan off
