Yeah making stuff pure for numbers can drain your motivation quickly! The way I look at my art is that when I look back at my drawing history I want to be proud of what I made, I don't want it to be filled with art I don't care for at all. All that may sound arrogant but my art is everything to me.

Not arrogant at all! Makes sense. If you're just drawing for clout/engagement, you're probably not gonna enjoy what you're doing as much. Some of my fave splatposts didn't get big engagement but I'm still proud of em. Meanwhile the more memey/trendy posts did numbers but they're not as special to me
