gateway to the skies, bbc micro (1983) www.computinghistory.org.uk/det/36932/Ga...

a roman(?) soldier in silver armor is standing behind a stone fence with a pistol/lazer in their hand. on top of the fence is a scroll of paper and a bottle of acid. a path leads toward a wolf and the silver gleaming statue(?) of a dragon with red eyes. beside the path to the right is a red telephone box that is a time machine and a small temple with a buddha statue with stairs and a triangular roof. at the end of the path, in the distance, is a gleaming golden building.

a boy sitting or standing in front of a glowing screen, his eyes wide, one hand on the top corner of the screen, the other on the keyboard. behind him, a world of game design possibilities: robots, planes, racing cars, soccer players, space craft, motorcycle racers, warriors and soldiers from past eras.

This is Chrysopelea paradisi, the Paradise Flying snake of Southeast Asia. As you can see, it can flex its ribs into flattened strips, allowing it to glide from trees using "aerial undulation".🧪 It may be the only limbless vertebrate capable of flight. (Photo by Lynette Ree)

A green and white patterned snake that is flat like a pancake on what looks like a handrail. It faces us with alert eyes.
The same green and white patterned snake, but close-up on the face, showing yellow underside and dark, alert eyes.

It's adorable, as snakes go.

These looked completely revolting even in the ads, and furthermore, why would I put syrup on *anything* I pick up and eat with my hands???

due to strong personal convictions, i wish to stress that this game in no way endorses a belief in the occult.

This is really low effort for a tie-in cereal, and I doubt kid me would've been excited about a more limited Alpha-Bits. Still probably bought it at least once, I'm sure.

Honestly, I really like Dragon's Revenge. It's aesthetically pretty bland compared to the true Crush pinball games, but much more fun to play than these sorts of sequels usually turned out.

A man is standing in between two spiked walls that are closing in on him. He says "oh boy, this is bad. I'll have to use all my media literact skills to get out of this one." The man starts seriously considering the situation with media literacy analysis. The walls close in further. The spikes start to poke into his flesh. He still ponders.
