I finally have an idea for a fic but it's touhou and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna mess it up in some way or stick my foot somewhere due to what I want to do with some of the characters. Plus, who would even read it?

Oof. I know next to nothing about Touhou, but I've gotten the impression it's very open to interpretation, so you might have more space to make the characters do what you want. Good luck

Plus last time I tried to write something I just ended up redoing the first chapter then dropping it. I'd still wasn't too finish it it's just hard to find the drive to do it. I don't think doing it all in one go would work either, I've seen some people do it but I feel like I'd stop halfway through
