It's a bit annoying that any feature that Epic doesn't think will create more realistic looking games is kind of just left at the wayside, forward rendering being one of those. I'm no graphics guy but I've heard similar rants from @crylar.bsky.social that it's hard to make UE games look right.

The weirdest part about FF14 players is how almost religiously they love their game. I have played WoW since release and I've never encountered a single person who actually say that the game is a 10/10 or that they even love it.
