Their usual estimates are based on PA (KS1), gender and DOB, as you say. I know this sounds nuts but I reckon they’ve based them on DOB and gender alone. ie the average outcome for a September born boy. (Or average outcome for Sept born boy in top 20% ranked school in case of FFT20.
