Apparently Bradley Nowell did hours and hours of rapping over the "Caress Me Down" music all fucked up and then the producer and other band members reordered and punched in the final lyrics during post to make the song on the record. The more I hear, the wilder (and sadder) their story gets.

I never got too into them and am largely indifferent but for a while there I found them to be good summer music.
