Been a lot of trials of drones in the Scottish islands. Royal Mail has used them and there was a trial last year to use them not just to deliver medicines but to collect health samples to go to mainland labs.

You do know plants don't die in the night soon after planting? They wait until you think they're doing OK then they slowly die as you try to administer first aid. The rural version is when it starts doing well, a rabbit or deer decides to taste it by biting it off at ground level and leaving it.
