It's got to be X-Men 2: Clone Wars. The incredible number of hours I put into that as a kid easily logs it as my favourite. Close behind are Golden Axe 3 and Phantasy Star 4, but I didn't play those until I was an adult, so they don't have the sheer nostalgia power.

I’ve heard great things about Clone Wars. Unfortunately we didn’t have that one. Instead we had the Spider-Man and X-Men: Arcade’s Revenge, which is objectively terrible.
