The snark I see is mostly around how these polls are covered. A Harris +4 is treated like a close race while a tied poll is good for Trump. A 6+ point outlier signals a shift in the race if it favors Trump, but ignored if it favors Harris. That kind of thing.
I'm curious to know what UNLV NIL chief Rob Sine imagines his job to be. Is he like a hedge fund manager, poring over every contract detail to extract the best possible players for the least possible amount of money? Or is his job to try to attract talented players to a middling G5 program?
It doesn't say, but that second chart has got to be daily active users *from the UK* or something, right? There's no way the jump at the beginning of August was greater than (let alone more than double) the jump from Brazil at the end of the month, and 100,000 seems off by an order of magnitude.
I did this earlier this year and the Chicago BOE was quite efficient and very communicative about when they received my application and my primary ballot and when it was counted, etc. They even included an "I Voted" sticker in the packet they mailed me
The failure of people to appreciate this obvious fact is probably the result of decades of rightwing propaganda ("The media is liberal!") and corporate media propaganda ("The media is infallibly objective!") tunneling into the brains of people who believe themselves to be immune to propaganda
I suppose that's why their tiebreakers are based on which is the older candidate, to recognize that it's harder for them to stay up late.
So our (yours, mine and almost everyone else's) specific views on Biden's fitness or electability and possible alternatives are irrelevant. The only role we're allowed is to lend popular support to the scheme to replace him with like, Bloomberg. And are rejecting that role as they come to see this.
Like you could take every democratic voter with age concerns and everyone who blames him for genocide and together we would not have the power to change the ticket. And the people who do have that power want someone worse than Biden and worse than Harris (and won't give up easily once Biden's out).
We might not see the same things on our feeds, but what I'm seeing (and where I'm at, personally) are people waking up to a better understanding of who has power and influence in this situation and who doesn't and what the goals are of the people who do.
