I have the Google Home mesh system and I fucking hate it. Almost no customization options in the settings, no 2.5 ghz band either so I have to have another router on that handles just that band so my smart devices can work. Looking in to other mesh systems now but I'm so let down by Google.

I don't love the fact it's owned by Amazon, but I wholeheartedly love eero. Got my own home system at the beginning of the pando (I work in a former dead spot & it's great). I've since set it up for multiple client homes/offices and it Just Works - including one client who'd struck out with Nest.

huge recommendation for the Netgear Orbi mesh: we've used every version from the original release and the only reason we upgrade is because we're reviewing the new one and they're all rock solid; there's a business one with TONS of settings but even the home ones are great. massive fan here

Oh gosh, didn't know this. I set up a couple of Gen1 Google WiFi systems in mesh mode to help folks with some dead spots but those were the last I've touched. My home's not big enough to need a mesh network so I never looked into anything recently.
