I recently had an editor make me add in like legit 5 tables from the appendix to the paper before sending it out. Reviewer comment? “Far too many tables”

Yikes. What I really want is to send the paper out with a note saying “look, I’m happy to actually move more tables to the appendix or to move appendix tables into the main doc, I just need direction as to whether this is too much detail or these replications help make my point.”
