On one hand, one has to come to terms with the fact that the Mastodon culture is like that (it's not even the whole AP-verse, probably Misskey and Pleroma users couldn't care less) OTOH, these Masto users seem to forget that their public posts are trivially accessible in the open web anyways. 🤷
