i've been feeling a really strong dread about this one for a bit now. like man, this could be just really fucking awful, huh? it's almost certainly going to be narrowed but hopefully not overturned outright

industry has been aiming for this outcome (the utter lobotomization of most meaningful regulatory oversight) for 40+ years. I think they're going to get it (and that a lot of the sillier culture war battles are intentionally designed to distract the public from it), but maybe I'll be surprised.
