I don't even get how it's disinformation. If peoples reactions are "WTF, why is FEMA's funding less than a genocide nations funding?" Doesn't that... make sense, that most people are wondering *where/why* the money is going to foreign nations aid over citizens aid programs?

Yeah like it is simultaneously possible to recognize that no, the stuff we send to Israel isn't technically from the same pool of resources that allows FEMA to do their job, but yes, we should absolutely stop giving any and all aid to countries committing genocide, and use it at home instead.

Also I've seen less "fema isn't even there" and more complaints about police trying to arrest people for taking water bottles out of a wrecked truck and saying that this is a bad model if climate chance means all disasters escalate from here on out.

yep, FEMA is doing their thing, so like go get the aid you need if impacted. FEMA is really good at giving out money (it's kinda their thing). Acting like FEMA is not, is just making people not get the support they need and making them distrust government (which doesn't help fix things)
