Internship at Emory Libraries:

Emory University Woodruff Library Resource Services Department offers a paid graduate internship in inclusive resource description focused on subject analysis of LGBTQ+ materials and the application of LGBTQ+ terminology to improve description and discoverability of LGBTQ+ library resources. Individuals from underrepresented groups who have a demonstrated interest in LGBTQ+ research or inclusive cataloging are encouraged to apply. Applicants may be graduate students in any area with interest in LGBTQ+ topics and librarianship or current MLIS students and recent graduates.

Under the supervision of experienced catalogers, the successful candidate will:

Gain practical skills and experience in bibliographic description of Emory libraries’ materials 
Gain understanding of practical aspects of critical cataloging 
Gain practical experience with subject analysis of library materials and identification of areas within the library collection that could benefit
