yea athletic tape in an x has worked fine for me to that effect (although my chest is fairly small and it was for a more casual outfit so ymmv)
the other thing is the dress is velvet and like KIND OF structured? so i can do a little bit of pull up and play in the dress itself. the tape it just added support
