It was in the news at the time. The FBI said they wanted time to dig into some of the allegations, but they proceeded with the hearings instead and we got that whole shitshow. Once it was done, they just stopped looking into anything as his confirmation was a foregone conclusion.

Straight talk, this is one of the reasons it infuriates me so much that Dems let up on The Rapist after his confirmation vote- seems really obvious that this is a dude who couldn't survive an investigation that wasn't explicitly designed not to find anything.
