meh, win some, lose some. How long ago did this happen and you're still carrying it with you? I'm not sure I'd have given her comments more weight than they deserved. Her experience differed than mine and her opinion of me wouldn't have been important.

But if she said it's because you're a loser, fuck her. She's an idiot. I'll eventually feel sad for her when she finds out, but I hope she remembers her interaction with you when she wakes up.

I've experienced similar with younger women in IT, but not "loser". My response is usually "you're welcome." I explain she's standing on the shoulders of giants & doesn't realize it. Women before them did the hard work. They usually come around after they've experienced the misogyny first hand.
