The Were Chronicles by Alma Alexander - takes a science approach to shifters. Where Peace is Lost by Valerie Valdes. Leech by Hiron Ennes - which feels very fantasy/body-horror/gothic but also post-apocalyptic sci-fi.
Same - I laugh plenty when I read them, but it's not the descriptor I think of when I'm telling someone else about the books.
The struggle is real - I just finally achieved enough bookshelves to not have to double layer the books on each shelf. Which of course means I'm buying more books...
Excellent book, can confirm. All the feels. Perfect meme for it!
Monster spreadsheet that tracks books I'm reading, books I started but didn't finish, and books that I own that I haven't read yet. Usually log in StoryGraph too, as well as keeping reviews/thoughts in OneNote. Separate spreadsheet for not owned books I want to read.
Just finished Sunbringer, the sequel to Godkiller, by Hannah Kaner. The worldbuilding! The twists! The feels! (Those gorgeous covers.) And now the waiting for the third book - coming next year.
Not only that, it's right next to the volume knob.
