The US, by sending an immense quantity of weapons to Israel and by stepping in to deter any military challenge to Israel's program of extermination (by Iran or perhaps others) is actively complicit in it. Few in this country are prepared to acknowledge that.

Unlike many policy issues, this isn't an area where compromises or incremental progress are possible. Vaguely acknowledging Palestinians' humanity makes no difference at all. Either the weapons keep flowing or they don't. The killers in Tel Aviv don't want our approval. They need our guns and bombs.
