One of the greatest honors of parenting is getting to expose your kids to so many “firsts”: movies, foods, places, poems, etc. Tonight, I introduced them (at least as far as they were aware of it) to the John Prine/Iris DeMent song “In Spite of Ourselves.” Best thing to happen all day.
