The meta narrative is that it's a one person project made outside of work hours, it's worse than "a game from 1982". Overall, I don't care much for people who go into games requiring everything to match their expectations. I just hope more people will open their minds and give it a chance

frankly, it is not worse than most games from 1982 and is better than most games of the 1980s! It feels perfectly pegged to the moment in time in terms of aesthetic, but the design is quite a bit friendlier than pretty much any other adventure game of the era.
